Altered state comics

Nidrian is a guy who posts strange, sometimes surreal alterations of newspaper funny-page favorites like Snuffy Smith, Sally Forth, and Family Circus:

Some are kind of juvenile (inserting off-color non-sequiturs into the dialogue) but others are weird on a level almost worthy of Jim Woodring. A few are slightly NSFW.

Heh, cool -- I liked the Henry ones espeically. Sometimes I feel weird when I see that people remember Henry, but then I think the print version of the Onion runs it from time to time, so that might be it.

Reminds me of a B.C. I saw a couple days ago... one of the ones I'm surprised that hasn't made the blog-rounds yet (at least that I've seen), but probably because it's just Par For The Post-Whackjob Johnny Hart Course:
Oh, good, I found it, so I don't have to transcribe it from memory. Whoo.

Wow, that Johnny Hart comes up with some real knee-slappers in his dotage, doesn't he?

Of Nidrian's stuff, I like the sort of spooky ones the best. :)

These "altered state" comics were hilarious. My only disappointment was that there weren't pages and pages and pages of them.
