More right-y humiliation

The Colbert Report's Stephen Colbert gives U.S. Representative Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) a little pop quiz. Painful to watch, and even more painful to realize that people as dumb as a bag of hammers have power over your life as an American.

MAN, considering that I'm very far away from Congressman Shortbus, that was pretty hilarious. My condolences, though -- jeez. It's funny, just because, well, you typically find that level of stupidity in comedy bits (er, made-up comedy bits) or those irritating Street Quiz Type Things where they just edit together all the dumbasses.

Also, on a similar note, just saw this from the SLOG: Fox News' Terrible Pilot For A Daily Show Ripoff.

Congressman Shortbus... that's perfect. :D

That FOX show sounds like a bit of a train wreck... "mouth replacements on well-known news figures"? Like Clutch Cargo? Yikes.

Yeah -- I'm figuring they saw that on Conan, and figured "Eh, late night shows are late night shows" and threw it into the mix (even though, since they don't really use Dole anymore, it's along with "If They Mated" as one of the bits I wish Conan'd retire. But I like the Clutch Cargo Conan bits about 80 tiimes more than If They Mated, just because that's pretty dire, really.)
