The iPod Flea

Heh heh... Jeremy (who's in the UK) alerted me to this: The iPod Flea, courtesy of the New York Times.

Windows Media, about 2 and half minutes long.

Ha! The iPod flea. I don't have an iPod, but this bank up here is giving my dad a 512mb shuffle for changing his account to them, and he's going to give it to me. Big whoop. 512? I'll load, what, 60 songs? Hmm. Well, that's not too bad.

This site is pretty good for some other stuff, too. Some good video.

Hm, that was amusing, but I think it would have worked better as a full-blown website, as most of the type of information they had in the ad, Apple saves for print/online ads, while the video ads are pretty content-free -- part of the thing that broke the parody for me was that it didn't look/feel like a Real Apple Ad Campaign and that tends to be something that can make-or-break parody type things like that; if it were me, I would have either done it as a magazine ad, or done a special apple.com-splash-page type thing (similar to the splash page that the Shuffle got out -- complete with little jokes, like the thing about not eating the shuffle or whatnot); but then, I'm pretty picky about that sorta thing..8)
