Aryan Justice

Too cruel. Someone named their baby "Aryan Justice."

Fortunately, she won't get beat up for her name until after she's graduated high school.

This just kills me.

Look at that beautiful little girl. She doesn't know what "hate" is; she doesn't even know one race from another. All she wants is someone to hold her, and feed her, and keep her warm. One human is as good as another to her, right at this moment.

I hope she grows up to refute her parents' beliefs and work as a lawyer for the NAACP.

That really made me sad. (The name, not, you know, your comment about hoping she overcomes her parents hate. That'd be very odd if _that_ made me sad.) But... yeah, basically what you said.

People _are_ DEVO.

Yeah. You both. Did y'all check out the site, though? I strongly suspect-- although if I had to bet, I'd say it's intentional-- that the parents have no idea. "Aryan" means [light/love/kinky toys/whatever] in French."

If she's French, maybe she'll refute America in general. That'd be an accomplishment.

Who knows, maybe she could be America's first woman president, too. I mean, after all, her name's something the red states could get behind. :D

The doctor is in Maryland. Not exactly a hotbed of racism, but then, maybe it is? Not sure.

Fuck until we're all the same colour. --Madonnna

The term Aryan was appropriated by the german fascists and later by american race groups.
Ironically the "original aryans" were probably located in later day Pakistan, and north India.
By the time this child is grown the name may have an entirely different connotation.

Yeah, um I don't believe ignorance of the meaning was an issue here. Check out this posting from the proud aunt of this little girl:
